In this two-day workshop, you’ll explore the rich tradition of old-world still life and painterly floral painting with a fresh, bold yet sensitive approach.
Through daily demonstrations and one-on-one critiques, Kelli will guide you in creating luminous works using wet-into-wet techniques, bold brushwork, and compositional design. She’ll guide students towards working to the finish. Make strong decisions, simplify what you’re seeing, and most importantly not overwork that painting.
Multiple still life arrangements will be available, and Kelli will explain why each setup works. Whether you stick with one painting or start a fresh one each day, you’ll learn to capture light, form, and beauty with looseness and confidence. Beginners and beyond welcome!
