After a long, gray winter in New England, the first sight of bright golden forsythia feels like a celebration. I wanted to capture that spark of joy and contrast it with the richness of a warm-toned background, hinting that spring is on its way — but not quite here yet. I paired the blossoms with one of my favorite antique French blue-and-white bowls, giving the composition a sense of old-world charm and classic elegance. I love creating these wide, panoramic still lifes that feel both grounded and expansive.
