This painting takes me straight back to quiet afternoons in Colorado, sitting in the tall grass with my easel, soaking in the cool shade of the trees and the majestic blue of the mountains. I’ve always been moved by the purples and blues that dance across distant peaks. There’s something deeply grounding about being surrounded by nature’s quiet strength—and I wanted to capture that soft serenity in this scene.
