Between the Trees is about perspective—pausing to look through, not just at, nature. I set up my easel where the trees framed the view, creating a window of light and space beyond.

I love how standing between trees makes you feel both sheltered and open, grounded and expansive. That’s what I wanted this painting to hold: the sense of standing in the middle of something larger than yourself, with light pulling you forward.
