I took this photo while walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, and it literally stopped me in my tracks. The simple grandeur of the valley, the raw beauty of the hillside, and those magnificent clouds—this was nature in full expression.

Later, when I painted this, I wanted to channel that same breathless wonder I felt while standing there, dusty boots and all, witnessing something eternal.

This painting is for the soul-searchers, the travelers, the ones who’ve stood still in awe of this beautiful earth.
