The sun shone brightly that afternoon, illuminating the subtle movement of each petal. The gentle light danced against the vibrant shades of yellow and purple. It was as if they danced together, two of nature’s greatest glories. One of them graced the earth with warmth and light, while the other grew from the earth, creating a different kind of warmth. With the sun above us and the beauty that grows around us, we each delight in the dance of how we find our light.
This painting is featured in the American Impressionist Society’s 21st Annual National Juried Exhibition at the Illume Gallery in St. George, Utah. The exhibition will be available for viewing from October 22 through November 21.
