This dramatic rock formation in Connecticut rises like a sentinel above the green meadow, its rugged face catching the very first glow of the morning sun. Pockets of golden light spill across the grass and kiss the edges of moss and stone, while the trees above cast deep, sheltering shadows. Morning’s First Light was painted on location, this work is a study in contrasts—light and dark, strength and softness, stillness and the quiet arrival of a new day.
