Sugar Jar and Peaches was born from a simple setup on my studio table, but it felt like pure sweetness from the start. The antique English sugar jar with its soft gleam paired perfectly with ripe peaches—juicy, warm, and inviting.

I love painting alla prima because it keeps the work fresh and immediate, almost like biting into the fruit itself. This piece celebrates simple pleasures: a little sweetness, a little fruit, a little beauty to savor.
