This is one of my favorite subjects to return to. The rustic charm of this old copper bucket with its heavy wrought iron handle, overflowing with lemons and paired with a vintage English transferware sugar jar. It tells a quiet story: someone’s about to make lemonade… or maybe a lemon pie… with joy and intention. These are the simple, beautiful pleasures of life and craftsmanship that are so easily overlooked today. I love honoring them through paint.
